Welcome to the Konini Primary School Website
Talofa lava, Bula vinaka, Kia Ora, Namaste, Taloha Ni, Malo e lelei, Ni hao, Kia Orana, Fakaalofa lahi atu, Hello and greetings to you all. Another great start to the school year. The staff and children have quickly settled into the class routines. I noticed on Monday morning many parents brightly walking out the gate with a big smile on their face. The long holiday break especially the last week or two, does pose a challenge for parents and children. My apologies for the incorrect starting date on the web site – hence the confusion on Monday. It had stated last years starting date. Welcome three new staff to KPS. Kirsten Reid (from Hutt Central) is in R4 and is syndicate leader for the junior team; Samantha Woodward (ex Wao Primary) is in R 11; and Jenny Ram (ex Woa Primary) is in R 2 for the mornings while Sue Moody is training for Reading Recovery. Prue is back relieving for Judy Benseman who became very ill over the holidays and wont be back till March. Class organisation is as follows:
Other members of the staff are; Lynne Keatley - Special Needs teacher; Tania Chong (Teacher) will be here one day a week taking a Gifted and talented group from across the school; Linda Mackle - Librarian; a great band of Teacher Aides – Ellison, Karen, Janice, Deborah, Lydean, Bev, and Cathy, assisting the Staff and children; Vince, our Caretaker; and last but not least the friendly team of Jinny and Amy in the Office.
